Landfill Gas Recovery Presentation at International Waste Management and Landfill Symposium

SARDINIA, ITALY — Catherine A. Lee, managing director of Lee International, will present this week at Sardinia 2005: The Tenth International Waste Management and Landfill Symposium held in Sardinia, Italy from October 3-7, 2005.

The symposium focuses on waste management strategies, waste characterization and collection, recycling, waste treatment before and after landfilling, design, operation, aftercare problems and administrative aspects as well as new developments of landfilling with respect to barrier systems engineering, leachate treatment and gas management.

Lee will present a paper she co-authored titled, Landfill Gas Recovery: The
Low Hanging Fruit for Carbon Credits Trading in Developing Countries
